General Synod passes motion to sign, endorse Christian-Muslim dialogue

More than 400 Muslim leaders from around the world have since signed on to the letter, “A Common Word Between Us and You”, which is addressed to Christian leaders and is “an invitation to Christians to dialogue.” The title comes from a line from the Qur’an: “O People of the Book, come to a common word between us and you.”

  • Diocese of Huron to elect new bishop in October
    The diocesan council of Huron met on Saturday, following the election of Archbishop Linda Nicholls as primate of the Anglican Church of Canada. The council received the formal letter of resignation of Archbishop Nicholls as the bishop of Huron, effective September 30, and set October 26 as the date of the electoral synod for her successor.
